Iridology examines the iris of the eye to determine
strengths and weaknesses in various tissues and body-parts. Everything
that happens to the body shows up in the eye, transmitted through the optic
nerve. Surgery shows as well, but changes in the body performed while under
anesthesia do not register, as the optic system is not able to record it. A
skilled iridologist does not diagnose specific conditions, but can point out
areas of concern as well as the potential for problems for which the subject may
never experience symptoms.
Emotional conditions and tendencies also show in the iris
structure, as do inherited tendencies from both parents. In right-handed people
the right eye reveals paternal issues, while the left reveals maternal. This is
reversed in left-handed people, as their polarity is reversed.
Sclerology studies the whites of the eyes,
or sclera, analyzing the blood vessel patterns and coloration of the
sclera in relation to tissues and organs of the body. This modality is
particularly useful in identifying heart and brain issues.
The Rayid Method of iris analysis uses structural features in
the iris to determine personality characteristics, strengths and weaknesses. Four major categories reflect
particular trait patterns. The "Stream" personality, indicated by
straight iris fiber structure, rely on sensory experience to process information
and deal with life. When the fibers curve noticeably, forming openings that
resemble petals, the term "Flower" is used to describe the person,
generally an emotional and spontaneous individual. Dot-like pigments
sometimes appear in the iris, indicating a tendency to be a logical, verbal
person termed a "Jewel". "Shakers" combine the dots
and petal-like structures, integrating the Jewel and the Flower into a dynamic
personality, one that may even be extremist.
